A continuation of the rehabilitation programme for the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel: the recovery, stretch by stretch, of the old aqueduct that supplied it with water.
Following the intervention carried out on the Casa da Água, the project continues the rehabilitation programme for the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel, now with the recovery of the old aqueduct that supplied the sanctuary with water, for which the revision of the execution design was drawn up.
As classified heritage, the proposal addresses a set of stretches of the aqueduct and calls for two complementary kinds of intervention: the rehabilitation of the aqueduct itself, covering the reinforcement of its masonry and its working condition, and the intervention in the surroundings and the plant cover.
