Bairro da Bela Vista

The Bairro da Bela Vista AUGI lies in the parish of Frielas, within a differentiated urban structure part of which is still consolidating and part of which is fully consolidated, made up of a set of subdivisions and a cluster of AUGIs with distinct processes of urban and built execution.

The urban conurbation is marked by a wide heterogeneity of building types, resting on diverse morphologies that result from an urbanisation process constrained in its infrastructure provision and ground modelling.

The intervention area totals 5.9461 ha and comprises 84 urban plots, all of them covered by a proposal for a main building, mostly for residential use (140 dwellings) and including a minority of economic activity use. The reconversion proposal further includes 4 parcels ceded for facilities, green spaces and collective use.

As part of the AUGI reconversion proposal, detailed approaches specific to each block were developed, with the principle of ensuring that the collective objectives are met and of providing guidance on the occupation pattern of the types and of the built fabric.
